Browsing through our product lineup, you’ve probably noticed that, alongside the standard, well-known solutions for widely used weapon platforms, we also offer some truly unique products — each with its own story. It’s time to take a closer look at them.

CRC 9HK140 - HK G36 Stanag magwell

A unique product was released in the summer of 2025.

The Heckler & Koch G36 automatic carbines, supplied as part of military aid packages, while chambered in standard 5.56×45 NATO, are fed from proprietary magazines of their own design — an innovation for their time.

However, the platform itself was not compatible with the widely used AR-type (STANAG) magazines, which quickly became a significant issue, considering that each rifle was delivered with… just two magazines. And what are two proprietary magazines that are nearly impossible to source separately in Ukraine and costly to import from Europe?

That’s why the KPYК engineering team got to work — and the result was the CRC 9HK140 magazine conversion lower, purpose-built for the Heckler & Koch G36. It allows the rifle to be converted to accept STANAG-pattern magazines instead of the factory HK proprietary magazines.

With this conversion installed, magazines can be inserted just like on an AR-platform rifle, while removal is possible in three different ways. Installation requires no special tools and no permanent modifications to the firearm.

This is truly a “unicorn” product — designed to solve a very specific yet critical problem, enabling efficient operation of a platform that, before the war, many of us had only seen in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series.

Yes, it’s not the only conversion of its kind in the world — but the selection is extremely limited: there’s a rather non-ergonomic option from HK themselves, and only a handful of somewhat improved alternatives from commercial manufacturers. In our humble opinion, however, KRUК’s accumulated experience and uncompromising quality are what made this magwell a truly functional, field-proven solution — one that has already been reliably contributing to victory for quite some time.

Interesting fact: the CRC 9HK140 STANAG magazine well for the Heckler & Koch G36 has become one of the most anticipated products among our European and U.S. customers and dealers. As of February 2026, all units have already found their owners; however, a new production batch is currently in progress. As always, we will announce its return to stock on our social media channels and via email to everyone who clicks the “Notify When Available” button on our website — so you can receive updates on expected products the moment they are added back online.

CRC 2SA069 (Виріб 5) - side optic mount for M14

KPYK manufactures mounts not only for the Kalashnikov family, the Browning platform, or the Mosin. The already somewhat “classic” M14 rifle does not feature a factory top Picatinny rail, which means that securely mounting optics requires a dedicated scope mount — and both the mount itself and the story behind its creation are far from simple.

Before — and especially during — the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the Armed Forces received substantial quantities of small arms from storage and reserve stocks. Among the already well-worn M16 rifle and Colt Canada C7 rifles (and this won’t be the last time they’re mentioned in this blog post), there were also truly retro M14 rifles chambered in 7.62×51 NATO — formidable firearms from a long-gone era.

Some of the transferred rifles came with optics already installed; a few had been upgraded with more modern stocks. However, the majority were standard training-configured rifles equipped only with iron sights, which did little to enhance practicality in a modern battlefield environment.

The response to their reappearance was the CRC 2SA069 optic mounting bracket — possibly one of the finest M14 mounts ever produced.

Why? Because it is fully CNC-machined from billet, from the mount body profile down to the screws and clamping block. It does not interfere with the rifle’s operating system and installs onto the factory mounting interface, ensuring the rifle remains fully functional even in the event of power loss or sight failure.

The 17-slot Picatinny rail section provides ample real estate to accommodate the needs of the vast majority of shooters and optic configurations.

Although the urgency of fielding “anything available” has thankfully passed, a significant number of these rifles still remain in service within the Armed Forces of Ukraine as training weapons or in units not engaged in active combat operations.

Naturally, this mount will not turn an issued M14 rifle — or your civilian M14 variant — into an M14 EBR. However, by choosing the CRC 2SA069 mount, you are selecting a purpose-designed, Ukrainian-made solution for mounting optics on this classic platform — without any permanent modifications to the rifle itself — while ensuring a secure, reliable, and professionally engineered optic interface you can trust.

Chassis-based rifles also benefit from thoughtful upgrades — which is exactly why we introduced a handguard for the Christensen Arms MPR. It’s an ideal solution for shooters who want to keep their rifle lightweight while gaining a full-length M-LOK interface for mounting everything a modern precision marksman may require.

The component is engineered to attach to the factory mounting points. Remove the stock handguard, install the CRC 1CA100 — no filing, no fitting, no gunsmithing required — and the rifle is ready to go.

By the way, you can learn more about how this handguard came to life — and how a sporting rifle found serious military application in the hands of our friend — in the dedicated post on our Instagram page.

Yes, our AK and Christensen Arms handguards are not the end of the story — we also have solutions for the AR platform.

The CRC 1AR060-MIL handguard was designed for full-length rifles with a rifle-length gas system and a triangular front handguard cap, such as the Colt Canada C7 and M16 rifles that were supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the height of the full-scale invasion.

Developed in the best traditions of KPYK — it requires no filing or fitting, offers extensive M-LOK real estate for accessory mounting, and features a rigid construction.

It is not a free-float design; instead, it installs onto the legacy mounting interface, indexing against the front handguard cap and secured by the delta ring at the barrel nut. However, unlike the original polymer handguards supplied with many U.S. and Canadian-made rifles, it eliminates play and allows you to mount the same components and accessories you would install on any modern AR platform.
